So interesting! My sister is rich and I remember using her first cell phone plugged into her car. I called my children just to say- I’m calling you from a car phone. I didn’t even know it was a “cell” phone.

Right! Car phone was probably the first iteration. My memory is getting rusty now adays!

I remember my dad illustrating the cells and cars driving by - how the car would switch from cell tower to cell tower. Explaining that they are cellular telephones (as opposed to wired , landline telephones).

And people saying- I can’t find a cell tower!

My 12 yo granddaughter asked what the poles that looked like a ‘T’ were. I had to explain telephone poles. lol
